I thank you god By: e e cummings

Happy finals week haha.
To night I chose to do this poem because when I was reading through all the titles of the poem this one stuck out to me just like the poems title last week. This poems title actually offended me because the word God was not capitalized, and not matter what I believe that this word should always be capitalized no matter what. In the first stanza in the first line it says " i thank YOU God for most this amazing" and as I read this I found that I was not capitalized and God was. Also off of this the word YOU is in all caps and this made me start to wonder. Back to the title the word I was capitalized and God wasn't and it made me think that maybe that he the author did not believe in God and maybe he did not have a religious background. Now back to the first line i is not capitalized at all and God now of a sudden is. I got to thinking that he has now found faith and is starting to find out that he is not the only thing he believes in but now he believes in God. And by having him put YOU in all caps to me shows that he only believes in one God. In the first stanza Cummings expresses his feelings for what God has created and how thankful he is for everything.
Now for the second stanza, it throws me off track quite a bit. He now says that he is dead, but he is alive again today. This makes me think that even though he never believed in God, God always believed in him and now his is going to heaven alive in a different meaning and appreciates this new life. In the second stanza line 6 it is told its the suns birthday and this made me think that it should be celebrated because with out the sun God would have not created all the things he did and it should be recognized along with God.
The last two stanzas really got me thinking, and it made me think of how nothing can really give a taste or a real image of what God has done for us, and even knowing it is hard for some of us to believe, cummings has show us and God that "(now the ears of my ears awake and now the eyes of my eyes are opened)."
