The Hollow Men By: T.S Eliot

WOOOOOOOOOOOOOOW!!!!!!!!!!!!! What a long day and a great day!!!! Ran the RACE for the CURE with my MOM and Kaylee!!! It is now my 10 year and I am very proud of that! Okay enough of my weekend, I'm going to talk to you about a question that came up the other day in class form the poem "The Hollow Men" (your favorite poem lol.) The question that found me was in the fifth stanza , line 85 or something close to that, but the line stated "Life is very long" and I came up with the question " is life very long or is it very short?" I believe that this question can been seen and answered in many different ways because everyone sees there life very different from how I see mine and my answer to this is, life is how ever long you want it to be. It may be different for others but I believe that life will go on for ever after the life I'm living in now because I strongly believe in GOD and know that when it is time for me to go it is my time and he will be the only one to know when that time comes. Life is the greatest gift that anyone could be blessed with and we are all put on this earth for a reason and that reason is left for you to figure out. Relating back to the poem I found a lot of Biblical relations, and I myself could relate to these. So, my finial answer to this question is yes I do believe life is very long, it is just how that certain individual sees his or her life.

  1. Good for you! My sister always does Race for the Cure.

As for Hollow Men, I think you have a totally different perspective on life--at least different from T. S. Eliot! I think that's okay. In fact, I think it's great because Eliot was kinda depressed and you seem pretty happy! :D
