The Coming of Wisdom with Time by William Butler Yeats

though leaves are many, the root is one;
Through all the lying days of my youth
I swayed my leaves and flowers in the sun;
Now I may wither into the truth.

This first line of this stanza came across very powerful along with the last line. The first line was so powerful because it is where I pulled all my ideas from and makes me think of some many things, with this I found that he is talking about his younger days. I believe that he grew up with a lie and could never come face to face and tell someone. In this line he expresses that he has one root, which I saw as the TRUTH that never came out. Then he also has many many leaves which act as his lies that hid his truth. He talked about how he swayed his leaves and flowers in the sun and I came up with that on the outside he always look happy and pretty and always swayed from the sun to hide his truth , but he knew he couldnt sway from the sun forever because the sun would always shin on him. He had to come out of the shade and tell his truth. Now that the light is on him he can now come out a reviel his truth that he has been hiding from his younger years........................................................................................ This is the poem that Kaylee and I will be doing, this is just a start but I think I have some good ideas on what to talk about..............BYEEEEEEE
